About Me

I first became interested in psychology as a high school student when I volunteered for Teen Line, a unique mental health hotline in Los Angeles where highly trained teen listeners provide support, resources and hope to struggling teenagers. This experience guided me in my studies and career path.

For over two decades, I have utilized a psychodynamic approach but I tailor each case to my client’s needs, incorporating many modalities into my therapeutic work. I received my undergraduate degree in Communications from Tulane University and my Master’s in Marriage and Family Therapy from Antioch University, Los Angeles. I earned a degree of Doctorate in Psychodynamic Psychology and Psychotherapy from Reiss Davis Graduate School. Among other places, I trained at the Maple Counseling Center prior to starting my private practice.

After becoming licensed as a mental health professional, I returned to Teen Line, serving as a supervisor interviewing prospective students for the Teen Line program. Currently, I am on the advisory committee for Teen Talk which is an online forum for teens to help teens.  For many years, I have volunteered as a supervisor at the Maple Counseling Center. I have also worked at Crossroads School for Arts & Sciences where I helped run the Life Skills group for teenagers.
